Hi Poolsharks -

A few midweek updates: 

1) Thank you parents & guardians for all of your time & energy to get your kids to practice these first 3 weeks, fill out info forms, keep your kids equipment together and support our team.  The Poolsharks are possible because of parents making it happen - thank you!  Your timely responses declaring YES/NO for Time Trials were very helpful for our computer lineup coach Jess and for me as I keep up with the data.  

2) Big Buddies - LINK here - we have 53 kids that have applied and hoping for 27 more to get to our goal of 80 Big Buddies - please check in with your 9-18 year old if they can help serve the team in this leadership role.  

3) Time Trials - basic info:

Timeline:

4:15-4:30 pm: all swimmers should aim to arrive in this window

4:45 -  6U/8U's will warmup 

4:55 - 9-12 will warmup 

5:05 - 13-18 will warmup

5:15 timers & referee/starter/Coach Jess meeting (for volunteer timers)

5:30 meet start

7:45 meet ends

Other Info:

*If swimmers wear a cap, it must be a team silver Venetian cap that can be purchased at the meet for $10.  

*All kids will be in the freestyle, and most kids will be in a 2nd individual race (fly, back or breast).  No relays and no IM to save time & keep things calmer.  

*weather looks TBD (about 80 degrees and 30% chance of storm - be ready for anything)

*we will need ~ 40 parent volunteers for Time Trials - this meet will have a more casual feel than our dual meets and will last 2 hours rather than the usual 4 hours.  Jobs ranging from Concessions & Spiritwear to Timers & Finish Judges.  Please sign up for whatever looks interesting - even if you have no idea, we will help you figure out what to do.  Time trials is a great way to try something new.
