hi Poolsharks -

June weather...ugh.  On a bright side - our Event #0 kids and 6U relays were AWESOME and we are so proud of our littlest swimmers.  

Just sent a Remind to everyone regarding a makeup meet this Thursday.

Here is the google form.  Please respond by Wednesday (tomorrow) at 9 am.  We will make our decision by 12 noon.  

Must have 50 YES's from families (not individual swimmers) to consider having a makeup on Thursday evening.

It is many steps to make meets come together, from parents leaving work early, to organizing concessions, hiring policemen, putting together lineups, and having enough parents volunteer to run the meet, to only mention a few.  

On a side note - tomorrow is picture day & Breakfast Burritos, and we are having donuts so that should some smiles.  

I am a child of the 80's who watched Mister Rogers - my 5 year old Olivia proudly says I look like Lady Elaine (hello Toots) - anyways, one of his quotes says to always look for the helpers when things don't go as planned or smoothly.  We had many helpers this evening and the swimmers generally stayed positive amidst the delays and challenges, while watching & learning how parents & coaches react.  Moments like this help them grow and understand they can be resilient and flexible and adjust as life moves in different ways.
