Poolsharks - action item - Divisionals DRAFT - confirm your kids events
hi Divisional Poolshark Parents -
This email is going out to all Divisional Poolshark parents. I'll be sending several extra emails to each of you these next few days - our entries are due at 1 pm tomorrow (Friday) and there are ZERO changes. Exception is last minute sickness and we can scratch a kid if necessary, but please try to keep your kids as healthy as possible these next 6 days.
Action Item Right Now - as there are ZERO changes, please look at the PDF attached and make sure your child's 2 individual races are what you requested - if you did not request races for your kid, I tried to put them in their most competitive races & ones that they are legal in, as the referees will be very strict and DQ everything that is not legal.
I need to turn entries in by 1 pm tomorrow - which means i'd like to have them done by tomorrow 7 am friday before I head to practice. Please take time tonight to look these over and let me know right away if there is an error in an individual race.
Relays - aside from our 6U boys and 15-18 boys (those are our 2 smallest age groups), everyone is in at least 1 relay. A relays were created by the populating the fastest 4 kids - then all other relays (we are allowed up to 3 relays, A, B, C) were created to make sure all kids got in at least 1 relay.
As this meet is taking place during the workday - I appreciate each of you for finding a way to make it possible for your children to attend. We have 111 Poolsharks joining and every age group has at least 1 relay except our 6U boys who will still be mighty but small (Harrison & Everett Z will represent our 6U boys).
After Franke (the league director) receives all entries tomorrow (Friday) - he will look at team numbers and share by Saturday a few things:
#1) volunteer assignments for each team (ex: timer, awards, runner, bullpen and we will divide this up amongst our parents). We have a handful of little ones (6U/7-8) joining, so I know we will want to have their parents on deck for at least part of the time - there are special deck access wristbands for these parent helpers.
#2) Franke will also let us know our seating spot (either on deck or the stands) and our warmup time (anytime from 7:30 am to 8:30 am).
Please make sure to buy a parking pass if you are driving - they usually sell out. It costs about $12.30 i think. HERE is the link. Make sure you get Session 1 AM.
Franke will probably also share the psyche sheet (this ranks all the kids first to last) and then on Tuesday night he'll share a link to the heat sheet / handwriters.
After Divisionals, our families often try to gather informally for a later lunch (1:30 pm) at a local restaurant like the Varsity, or Grindhouse or Fellinis or somewhere easy-ish like that. That plan is TBD and i'll probably just text it out or send in later email.
It is going to be a BLAST cheering on our kids and team at Divisionals and this is only possible because of our families! Thank you parents!
Have Fun, Race Hard, Do Your Best, Go Poolsharks!
