Poolsharks - Divisionals - warmup time, seating, psych sheet, volunteers

Hi Divisional Poolshark families -

We are looking forward to Divisionals this Wednesday.  Information will be constantly updated via the ASA website here.  We have 111 Poolsharks joining and I am very excited about cheering on all of our kids & the team.  The goal of this meet is to represent our Poolsharks team while have fun doing our best and experiencing a big championship meet in an electric environment.  Kids (and even parents) will be both excited and anxious and those are all okay feelings!

Psyche Sheet HERE (this ranks the kids/relays fastest to slowest - it is NOT a heat sheet)

When to arrive:

We have been assigned the 7:45 AM walk in time - this means we should meet at 7:25 outside of the Georgia Tech pool (there is a large front entrance / sidewalk / grassy area).  This will give us time to hand out volunteer wrist bands, make sure shift partners exchange cell phone numbers, etc.

Warmup time: link HERE - 8:15 - 8:30

Seating: link HERE - we are in N-O-P boys pool area - swimmers, coaches, parent volunteers - we will be ON DECK at the very end of the boys pool.  Parents attending but not volunteering will be in the stands first come first serve (please wear Venetian Poolshark shirts so we stand out & can find each other) - we will be one of the earlier groups to enter the pool so the seating choices will still be pretty good.  I'd like for our parents to sit together in 2 areas (one section in front of the boys pool, and one section in front of the girls pool).  Yes we will race in 2 pools at the same time - this means that our coaches Ashley/Lu/Phin/Blair will each be assigned a girls pool or boys pool and I will be rotating back and forth.  Teenage coaches that are competing at Divisionals are NOT expected to coach, as we want them to be able to focus solely on being athletes at this meet.  Parent volunteers are really helpful especially during the relays (all relays at the beginning of the meet, including the free relays), to help make sure our kids get where they are supposed to (no bullpen for relays - just go straight to your lanes with a parent volunteer/coach).

Volunteers - link HERE -we will need about 30 volunteers for the meet - volunteer positions have been posted on our website in the usual spot - we have deck passes for our timers & meet bullpen (not team bullpen) volunteers and deck passes for parent helpers.  I'd like for our parents of our youngest swimmers (Maia B, Ava O, Margaret S, Charlotte S, Harrison, Everett to have first dibs on the parent on the 8 deck passes).  Please consider signing up to be a timer or bullpen helper (first shift or second shift - you can choose boys pool or girls pool so you don't miss your kids races). If you are nervous about making an error as a timer - please know that it will be okay even if you do - there are 3 people per lane, so even if you make an error occasionally, two other people will be there to help you.

*Heat sheets will be released in the next few days - please print on your own (they won't be selling these at the meet)

*Handwriters will also be released around the same time

*Post meet informal lunch - we can plan for everyone to meet @ Grindhouse in Decatur @ 1:30 / 2 pm (several waves are okay and ordering ahead via the app is very helpful too).

As you have questions, please reach out via email/phone/text.

Have Fun, Race Hard, Do Your Best, Go Poolsharks!
