Poolsharks arrive at 4:15, warmups for us are 4:45 - 5:15.  5:30 meet start.  

Echo Ridge is a great team with excellent coaches, sportsmanship, technique, and hospitality.  We are looking forward to a fun meet with Coach Martha's Ragin Rays.

What about the weather?  Unless it is 100% guarantee of a tornado etc, we always plan to have meets, as June weather in ATL is all over the place.  Thunder delays are 30 minutes.  We can swim in rain as long as coaches & lifeguards consider it safe (can see bottom of pool).  Sometimes we cancel warmups to save time if there are thunder delays pre-meet.  We all have our fingers crossed today's storm will disappear by 5:30 and stay away til 9:30.  

If for some reason we cancel the meet - this would NOT happen til ~ 6:45 pm, when it would be determined we couldn't get in at least 50% of the races.  

We do always try to reschedule meets for either the following Wed or Thurs.  If this is the case, families actually do have to re-declare YES/NO and coaches remake lineups as availability usually changes.  

How grownups respond to these changes, models how our kids will respond.  So we try to make sure they know the weather is out of everyones control, the top priority is to keep everyone safe, and that it will be fine no matter what happens, ie we will still enjoy donuts on Wed AM, meet or no meet, win or lose.  

Make sure that your 'Remind' app is ready as this is what we will rely on to communicate.  

One Ask - if the weather is scaring you away and you are planning not to join (hopefully this is not the case), please let me know via text 404.630.1440 - please do not unexpectedly be absent as one missing kid typically will affect the entire age group (20 + kids) because of relay adjustments.
