hi Poolsharks,

Welcome to Week 6 of Poolshark season as we prepare for Fire (us) vs Ice (Leafmore) tomorrow night.  The pool is short course yards so times will be ~ 2 seconds faster per 25.  Leafmore pool is HEATED so we will be much warmer (Venetian has been 75 degrees this week which is especially cold for our Starfish/6U/7-8 since the sun has not yet appeared at 815 am.  

*We are co-theme-ing so please feel welcome to wear your shirts and shorts with fire flames!

*Our coaches Jayla, Owen B and Claire build the lineups each week - please do your best to stick to your commitments of signing up for the meet.   When one kid does not show up, it can affect 15 other kids in the age group as we have to shift relays and such.  There are always a few things that families cannot help, like last minute sicknesses, and coaches understand that.

*It will be Senior night for the Leafmore Dolphins at 5:30 and the meet will begin at 5:45.

Location & Parking

Address is: Leafmore Creek Park Inc, 1373 Altamont Dr, Decatur, GA 30033

From Leafmore:

The Venetians Pool Sharks reserved area- we reserve the grassy area and covered pavilion at the far side of the pool from the front gate for our guests. It’s nice and shady over there. Please note that Leafmore pool is pet free. Spectator seating will be along the side of the pool. We ask your swimmers to travel around the diving board area to reach the swimmer line up area and feed into the blocks.

Parking- We have a small parking lot, but there is plenty of parking on the surrounding streets. We ask that your team only park on one side of the street so that emergency vehicles and the neighbors can get through. There will be “No Parking” signs posted as a reminder.

Concessions

Our concessions coordinator will be grilling burgers, BBQ sandwiches and dogs. We will also have Chick-fil-A, BBQ, chips, baked goods, fruit, candy, and tons of drinks. At this time, we accept CASH and will try to accommodate the use of venmo as well at the concession stand.
