Poolsharks,

We are looking forward to the 2026 season with Head Coach Beth Lewis returning to lead our team! When we get closer to the registration date, we will send out more details about the season, but here are some basics for planning purposes:

Registration

Registration for Poolsharks will be done in tiers. You will receive an email when it’s time for your tier.

• Tier1: March 5-12, 2026: Registration open for all Venetian members and/or members from the 2025 Swim team (waitlist and members). Email sent to 2025 swim team and E-splash sent out to all membership.
• Tier 2: March 13- March 18, 2026: 1-100 on waitlist (if spots remain)
• Tier 3: March 19- March 23, 2026: 101-200 on waitlist (if spots remain)
• Tier 4: March 24- March 27, 2026: 201-500 (if spots remain)
• Registration closes: April 1, 2026

Rates:

Starfish ages 4- 6: $260

Poolsharks ages 6- 14: $260

Poolsharks ages 15- 18: $160

(note: there is no fee increase from 2025; families with 4 or more children on team will get a 10% discount)

Starfish is for kids 4, 5 and 6 that can put their face/body in water without screaming but cannot yet swim 12.5 meters (1/2 the pool) independently. They must have turned 4 by January 1, 2026 and will practice with the team in May and June in a dedicated lane and with dedicated Starfish coaches.

Swim season (all important dates can also always be found on our team website)

• Mon May 4 -21- afternoon practices Monday-Thursday:
  • 4:30-5:15 ages 4-5-6-7-8 + Starfish
  • 5:15-6:15 ages 9-10, 11-12
  • 6:15-7:15 ages 13+
• May 26- June 25 –morning practices Monday-Friday.
  • 8:15-9am 4-5-6-7-8 + Starfish
  • 9-10am ages 9-10, 11-12
  • 10-11am ages 13+

Important Dates:

• March 5: Registration opens.
• Team suit fitting date: TBD end of March
• April 19, 7:30pm: Pre-season required zoom parent meeting—all content will be child appropriate & your swimmers are welcome & encouraged to join.
• May 4: First day of practice
• May 19: (4:15- 8:45 pm) Practice meet/Time Trials
• May 25: (8- 10am) Memorial Day practice & breakfast
• Dual MEETS (4- 10pm on Tuesdays, except last week of June when it is Mon.)
  • Dual Meet 1: May 26
  • Dual Meet 2: June 2
  • Dual Meet 3: June 9
  • Dual Meet 4: June 16
  • Dual Meet 5: June 22 (Mon)
  • Divisionals (GA Tech): TBD (6/24 likely)
• June 25: (9:30 - 11am) End-of-Season Celebration
• August 16, 6pm: Swim team social

We are expecting the swim team to be popular again this summer. If you know your kids want to do it, please sign up as soon as registration opens! The size of the team is limited to 265 swimmers: 250 swimmers (215 ages 6-14, 35 ages 15-18) + 15 Starfish.
