Poolsharks - Week 3.5 (time trials results)
Good morning Poolsharks -
First, I want to thank all of our parents and families for making last evenings Time Trials come together - from getting your kids to the pool amidst the ATL traffic, to volunteering your time and energy throughout the meet. It is truly a gift to see our families come together and help make the meet happen!
Results are HERE. If you see any drastic errors for times (not for places, points, etc) - please let me know. There is a 'benchmark' time called a 'zoom.' This is the 10th place time from ASA Divisionals last year, and the time it took to earn an individual medal.
Speeding Bullets are HERE. We had 96 swimmers earn a best time from their baselines last season - WOW!
Troy Earnest took lots of pictures HERE and is working to edit and upload to his site. He shared the team photos (silly and usual) and I must have LOL'd 10 times when I zoomed in on the silly pic - the swimmers are very good at these faces.
Reminders:
Please declare by tomorrow (Thurs) for Dual Meet #1 next week - we are hosting the Leafmore Dolphins, led by the legendary Coach Trish (Lakeside HS swim coach, teacher and athletic director). Leafmore is a lot of fun and we are going to co-theme with both teams, ATL sports style. Please wear your Braves, Falcons, ATL United, Dream, Hawks, UGA, Georgia Tech, Morehouse etc gear to rep ATL!
Swim Lessons - one on one goes coaching is super helpful - you may see Coach Blair on deck helping our kids during practice. individually - she is one of our volunteer coaches, giving her time as our Technique Specialist (she was a D1 NCAA breaststroker / IM'er in college) and we are super thankful for her expertise. Coach Info is HERE for individual lessons.
That's all for this morning - and happy last (or almost last) week of school! We'll see you all on deck tonight for Swim & Dryland Day with Coach O'Day!
- Coach Beth
