hi Poolsharks -

Thank you everyone for making the energy and effort to get to the pool tonight, May/June weather is so touch and go that we generally have to give it our best try to have a meet.  

I remember reading recently, when something unfortunate happens, look for 3 positives.  Tonights weather was tough, but 3 of the positives on my mind:

• all of our volunteers and swimmers and parents and families and coaches being ready to GO tonight, helping set up, clean up, sell concessions and beyond
• we have another week to get our kids stronger & faster!
• for last weeks Time Trials and yesterdays Crack of Dawn we were gifted with sunshine and good weather!  Thank you so much to all of our families for your time & generosity for our potluck!  We had our largest Parent Practice group ever, and it was so much fun to see all of our parents swimming together, from practicing the Tea Cup backstroke drill, to enjoying some 'social kick' with kickboards.  (parent cheer HERE)

Notes:

*Regular swim practice times tomorrow 8:15 for our littles, 9 - 10 for our middles, and 10 - 11 for our teens.  No 30 minute delay on Wednesdays this year.  

*we WILL have donuts tomorrow - thank you to each of our donut sponsors!

*we WILL have swimmer of the week tomorrow - to recognize kids from each of our age groups that have worked hard each day towards our goal of being a GREAT TEAMMATE!

*we are trying to schedule a makeup meet with Leafmore - they are a really fun team to swim and we match up competitively very well.  As soon as we find out if we can make it up - i'll let everyone know the new date.  

*please declare HERE yes or no for next week's Meet #2 at Echo Ridge  (deadline is this Thursday)- they are a strong and mighty team, with tremendous sportsmanship, led by the iconic Coach Martha and Coach Corderro.  As weather & time allow, they may kindly invite our team to enjoy their water slide after the meet!  This is an AWAY meet, so no Starfish Event #0.
