Poolsharks - Week 7

June 14th

Hi Poolsharks -

Welcome to Week 7! I'll send a week 7.5 update on Wednesday post meet with results, updated top 11's (most improved, high points, times, etc).

HERE is our attendance update - we celebrated perfect attendance swimmers Theo, Layla, Olivia, Mary R, Max and James O on Friday as they have earned the magic 33 points! We will continue to hand these special caps out to swimmers who achieve this 33 point attendance goal. Please send me a brief polite email if you notice an attendance error(s) for your child, and I will update right away.

Speeding Bullets & Ribbons - we think a handful of ribbons did not get printed this past week for our WV meet - we are going to give this a 2nd try, and update ribbons this week and place in everyones ribbon boxes. If you earned a speeding bullet but did not pick up this week - those have also been placed in ribbon boxes.

ASA Divisionals Info:

HERE is our ASA team roster as of 4 pm Sunday. We typically bring half our team, ~ 130 swimmers to the meet so I am hoping we have about 60 more kids sign up by tomorrow night, our goal is 12 kids per age group so we can meet the 3 relays per age group allowance by the league.

Deadline to declare is this Monday night June 15th, 11:59 pm. This is a hard deadline as we need to confirm all entries. I will look over all entries and share the draft with the team on Wednesday before officially turning into the league Thursday night.

Payment ($30 per swimmer) must be received by tomorrow (Monday) also - please put in note 'divisional fee for ex Johnny Rocket' - make sure you put in your swimmers name.

When: Wednesday June 24th @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pm ish (warmups are TBD assigned and will begin as early as 8 am). We will NOT have swim practice this day.

Where: Georgia Tech Natatorium

Cost: families pay $30 per swimmer plus a parking pass that you should definitely buy ahead of time HERE. The league charges us $50 per swimmer and Venetian will pay $20 for each swimmer towards the $50 cost.

USA Swimming Certified Meet - ASA's are a USA swimming certified meet (meaning swimmers can earn state / national cuts at this meet). If your child is a USA Swimming club member and would like their ASA times to go into the USA swimming club database, please email me their USA club membership ID by Monday and I will update this into the Swimtopia system (it is usually ~ 14 characters made up of numbers and letters).
